Matt is an “indoor kid” from Seattle with a BA in communications. He’s been fascinated by media since he was 5, recording his own homemade radio shows, and he’s spent very little of his professional life outside that umbrella, with most of his career spent in the radio industry. In 2007, Matt founded the pop culture site Kittysneezes and he's contributed to sites like Popshifter, Popdose and, for over two years, was the Managing Editor of Hornet Stories. His main interests include music, comics, animation (especially anime) and documentaries. He's also appeared on the podcasts Crush on Radio and The Painful Threshold, which he also created and produces.
I always have enjoyed Nathan Rabin’s writing — first at the AV Club and now at The Dissolve. His memoir The Big Rewind was outstanding, as was his book on Weird Al. (And, of course, his My Year Of Flops project for…
Edward Ka-Spel‘s brilliance with The Legendary Pink Dots is to introduce us to isolated characters and then immerse us in their world-view through expansive and mysterious soundscapes. He begins with the most restricted, infinitesimal point of consciousness and then slowly expands it…
Listeners of Crush On Radio know full well my love (as well as Andrew’s) of Primus and the work of Les Claypool. So it should have been a given that I’d be picking up the new album Four Foot Shack from Les’…

Cardiacs were a wonderful band — pretty much any given lineup of the band is going to be awesome, but the lineup on the All That Glitters Is A Maresnest concert film is probably my favorite lineup. Or at least one of…
Hey everybody! Meet Ted! He likes to talk! He talks a lot! He talks and swears! In this video, Ted talks band names. Band names that sound like dudes. He’s agin’ it.
As I promised, from the Trootcottoun DVD, the OFFICIAL DIRECTOR’S COMMENTARY on Trootcottoun! It’s 17 minutes of me talkin’ about stuff! I’m pretty good about talkin’. It’s what I do in my spare time, so I’ve gotten good at it! I’ll probably post the Un…
