Adult Swim‘s experimental collage show Off The Air had a new episode recently — a special featuring a full-length music video for “When I Was Done Dying” from Dan Deacon‘s new album Gliss Riffer. The Off the Air episode was seamlessly edited by series creator Dave Hughes from nine animators‘ interpretation of the song.
This isn’t the first time Deacon and Hughes have collaborated. Deacon’s music has shown up a few times in other episodes of Off the Air, but there was a half-hour long Off the Air special two years ago, U.S.A., released in collaboration with Dan Deacon’s for his earlier album America.
And because we love you so much, here’s video of an early experiment between Deacon and Hughes:
Off the Air runs on Adult Swim at 4:00 AM.
