I’ve always loved the Dead Milkmen — and they’re back together! Stoney’s Extra Stout (Pig) was their last album (and I thought it was actually pretty good, regardless of the reviews), but it sounds like there’s a new one coming! The Milkmen just did a In-Studio session with WXPN (who apparently have forgiven them for the mention in “The Big Sleazy” from Metaphysical Graffiti!), and it’s available for download — 7 songs, and of those, FOUR are brand new! (The other three are “Fifty Things” and “The Thing That Only Eats Hippies” from Eat Your Paisley, and “The Woman Who Was Also A Mongoose” — one of my all-time favorite Milkmen songs, from Not Richard But Dick, which is another record I think is underrated.) Anyway — new Milkmen stuff is always welcome — particularly when I didn’t think there’d be any after Stoney’s. The Milkmen rule.
