The New Republic just ran this really interesting article on cursing. Most of the emphasis is on “fuck”, but pretty much all of your favorite swears get a mention. It’s indepth and thought-provoking — both on the societal weight of swearing as well as the actual scientific/neurological basis of what happens when we hear cursing. Very neato.
